My Very First Greeting Card Design

My Mom saved this Christmas card that I made for her when I was in the first or second grade. I thought I would post it just for fun. I loved glitter back then and I still love glitter. Glitter makes things special:)

God Uses People in Different Ways

Yesterday I heard two different Christian leaders speak. Gloria Burnham, a missionary to the Phillippines that was captured and held in the jungle by Muslim terrorists for over a year, and Matt Pitt, a Christian youth leader with a “rock star” following. Both have incredible ministries and are being used mightily by God. I was impacted by the contrast of the way God uses people. Gloria went through intense suffering and yet never let go of her faith. Matt suffered with drug addiction, then found faith and is walking in a glorious ministry with great impact. I can’t help but ask, if given a choice, which way would you prefer to be used by God?

Calling Cards

Last night I designed some business cards for The Pure in Heart Project. Since my computer crashed a few months ago, it has been a little bit difficult getting things done. I’m lost without my Adobe Illustrator software, but I’m managing on a borrowed laptop and Photoshop. I think I’ll call these new designs calling cards because I intend to hand them out and invite people to get involved in starting their own Pure in Heart Projects in their communities. My hope is that this will become a grassroots movement of sharing the love of Christ in a new way.  Here’s a preview of the first design. For the next calling card, I plan to do something with a simpler design…
