I was taught in Bible college to read the Bible as though I was reading a love letter. When you read a love letter you seek every nuance of meaning and meditate on every message. The  Scriptures are God’s love letter to us.

As I was considering and praying about what type of ministry opportunity to become involved in, I had the desire to utilize my creative skills in the process. The Pure in Heart Project came into being from my desire to use art and design to serve God’s purposes.

I’ve always loved greeting cards and they  seem to have a way of lifting someone’s spirits. A handmade greeting card saturated in prayer and placed anonymously for someone to find may be the exact Word of encouragement that a person needs for that day.

Handmade cards are personal, and God is a personal God. He cares about each and every one of us as though he or she were the only person on earth.  The only words that can change anyone’s life are the Words of Jesus Christ.  The mission of the Pure in Heart Project is to reach out and touch individual lives with God’s Word – to place God’s love letters around our neighborhoods and cities for someone who may not even be looking for Him to find.
